These terms cover your use of pavelcode.com, a website operated by Pavel Ufimtsev. The site shares information about my work, technical articles, and tool recommendations.
1. Website content
Articles, examples, and other material on this site provide general information. They are not advice for your specific project. The right technical decision depends on your environment and requirements, which I can't know from here.
Software and services change, so content may become outdated after it is written.
I work to keep the site useful, but I don't guarantee that its content is accurate, complete, or current, or that the site will always be available. I also don't guarantee that applying anything here will produce a particular performance, search ranking, or business result.
2. Code and technical examples
Review and test any example before using it in production. Check that it is compatible with the versions you run, consider what it means for the security of your system, and make a backup before changing live code or data.
What you may reuse:
- Original article text and images on this site remain protected by copyright unless stated otherwise.
- You may link to articles and quote brief excerpts with attribution, subject to applicable law.
- Third-party material keeps its own terms.
- Code snippets follow the license stated with the snippet or its repository.
3. External links and recommendations
This site links to other websites and services. They have their own policies and terms, and I don't control them.
Third-party prices, features, and availability can change after an article is written, so check the provider's own site before you decide.
Linking to a service, or recommending it, does not guarantee that it will suit your project or perform as you expect.
4. Affiliate relationships and sponsorships
Some articles contain affiliate links. If you buy through one of them, I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
Commercial relationships are disclosed in the content they relate to. An article that contains affiliate links says so. A paid sponsorship is different from an affiliate link: if a company pays for an article or a placement, that content is labeled as sponsored.
A recommendation does not mean I have personally tested every product mentioned. Where an article is based on hands-on use, the article says so.
This section adds to the disclosures in individual articles. It does not replace them.
5. Consulting engagements
Sending an inquiry does not create a client relationship and does not reserve my availability.
Scope, fees, timing, confidentiality, deliverables, and intellectual-property arrangements are agreed separately before work begins. These website terms do not replace a signed service agreement.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to compromise this site, gain unauthorized access to it or to the systems behind it, or disrupt its operation.
7. Liability
The site and its content are provided as they are. To the extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for loss or damage that results from relying on content on this site, including its code examples and recommendations.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have, or any liability I have, that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8. Changes
I may update these terms. The date of the latest revision appears at the top of this page.
Updates to these terms do not change a consulting agreement that is already in place.
